Santa

We had our ward Christmas party last weekend. Santa always comes to visit. Most of the time kids cry when they see Santa and won't sit on his lap but Ethan saw him and just started laughing and giggling and pointed to him and said "You funny."

Snow Day

I accidentally posted this picture twice and I don't know how to delete it. My new years resolution is to improve my blogging skills. But until then you are just going to have to bear with me.

Little Food Man

Joshua likes it when I make his snacks into people or faces. I made him this snack the other day and about 15 minutes after I gave it to him he was still sitting at the table just looking at it. I said, "Why aren't you eating your snack?" He burst into tears and said, "I just can't eat him, I like him so much and he is my friend." So we made a video and took pictures so we could remember Little Food Man forever. He is a cheese stick body, a cracker head and cherry eyes.

Ok, this video is a little long and very dark quality but it makes me laugh. Let me narrate for you. The kids are getting ready to go out. The door bell rings and it's the first trick-or-treaters of the night. Ethan runs to the door hands out the candy then bursts into tears because we gave away the candy and he didn't get any. After crying on the couch for a bit the door bell rings again, and the same thing happens. He was so disapointed. Then at the very end of the video Joshua starts throwing up again. It's a classic!

Halloween 2008

Joshua was spider man. He started throwing up about 2 hours before we left to go trick-or-treating but still I could not talk him into staying home. I almost had to carry the poor little guy home after we were done.
I thought Sarah was a pink princess but I was later informed the she was "a person from India."

And here is Ethan our little frog prince. He loved this costume. He loved the candy. He got really picky towards the end and if someone handed him a piece of candy he didn't care for he would hand it back and say, "NO, that one." and point to the one he wanted instead.

Heather's wall of shame that she has on her blog letting the world know how often you blog has prompted me to update my own blog, even if it is from the 4th of July. At least now I'm not the worst blogger anymore.

Happy 4th of July

Ok, I know I'm a horrible blogger and a horrible mom because these are the last pictures that I have of my kids. I think I have more on the camera but I need to download them. I will try to remember to take Halloween picture but we have already been to the school carnival and the church trunk or treat and I haven't taken a picture of either of those. This was the 4th of July and Ethan's bithday party. We had family in town and the missionarys over for dinner. It was lots of fun with only a few burnt fingers.

Ethan's New Tricks

Ethan has learned a few new tricks this week that have added to my stress level. He can now climb out of his crib. Which means now I put him to bed, wait at the door till he opens it and put him back in his crib again. Last night we did this five times. Hopefully he will figure this out soon. He can also unlock all the child proof locks we put on all the doors which means now I'm back on potty duty, he loves to flush the potty, unfortunatly he usually fills it up first. His last trick is opening the fridge. So all day he brings me food. It is a good things this kid is sooooo cute and happy all the time, it makes up for all the trouble he gets into.

Sarah's Baptism Day

Sarah was baptised last Saturday. It was a stake day for all kids so there was a total of four children getting baptised. Sarah has eagerly been awaiting this day for over a month but due to Shaun working a lot on weekends lately this was the first day we could do it. Anyway, Sarah was up bright and early that Saturday all dressed and ready to go at 7:30 in the morning, unfortunatly the baptism wasn't until 4:00 pm. It was a special day full of family and friends, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins were all able to come, it really meant a lot to Sarah to have all those people there just for her. She was a little nervous at first but after seeing the girl ahead of her be baptised it gave her more confidence. Her only disapointment was not being the one to pull the plug from the font when she was done. As a parent to witness your first child being baptised is a strange experience. I'm the one who is charge of helping her change her clothes and fix her hair, honestly I kept waiting for my mom to jump up and take over and say "That is enough prentending your'e not really old enought to be doing this." just because it felt so "out of body". But it was also a spiritual day and one I will never forget. I might forget what the talks were about or exactly what was said but I won't forget the feelings I had and the hopes I have for her future. I don't want her to grow up any more but I look forward to seeing the beautiful young women I know she will become. To know that the next time I see her all in white will also be a special day and one I look forward to. But not for a long, long, LONG time.
P.S. I do have pictures but I need Shaun to show me how to load them. I'll try to get them up ASAP.

What I Found in Ethan's Diaper this Week

As many of you know (or are about to find out) I have a child with a huge oral fixation. None of my other kids have been this bad for this long. So I thought it would be funny to start a new section as named above. But let me catch you up first. With "Things I have found in Ethan's diaper in the Past." Please note these are not things he puts in his diaper but things he eats that I find in his diaper later. You figure it out. In the past there has been sand, small beads from a broken necklace, sand, a penny, and more sand. This week, a piece of string. My best guess is from a candy necklace he had the day before. Goodbye for now.

Joshua Makes Me Laugh

Joshua likes to play word games. For example one of his favorites is I say a word then he says the opposite ie: I say hot, he says cold. After running out of opposites today I said, "Lets play a new game. I'll say the food you say where it comes from. How about eggs" He shouts out, "The grocery store!"

Kids at Christmas

Poor Sarah was sick on Christmas so this is about the only picture she would "pose" for.

OK, no more pictures please. You have enough. It's like living with the paparazzi.

Rock On

My dad got Rock Band for Christmas. It was a family favorite. It even drew Matt from his cave. The game was taken quite seriously. Notice how intense the drummer is. PS Be thankful my blog doesn't have sound.
