Good News and Bad News

Cole is growing up so fast. It seems like every week or everyday he learns something new. The good news - he did his first sign, it was "Daddy". The bad news - he learned how to open doors. The good news - he is walking everywhere now. The bad news - he is tall enough to pull things out of the trash can. Can't wait to see what he learns tomorrow.

Our weekend with Dean

We got to babysit Dean this past weekend when my sister Emily was in the hospital having baby boy #2. The kids were all excited to have him, Cole - not so much. Jealous of who got to sit on Mommies lap was the big issue. We sure did have fun cuddling the little (big) guy. The kids took all of these pictures.

My, what big eyes you have!

Thumbs make me sleepy.
Cole was pretty good with Dean. I don't think he was interested in Dean but the new toys that Dean brought with him.
Most of the time Cole crawled right past him as if he wasn't even there.
This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

For Emily and Bob

I know you've been missing Dean, he's been very busy though. Here he is winning in cards.

Snow Day

Hurray for snow!
Who is that masked man?

Cole Snack Time

Please Go To School

Tues - Snow Day
Wed - Snow Day
Thurs - Two hours delay and walking out the door to go the bus stop and see on the news school is cancelled after all because the buses won't start. Mom says, "Don't care we are up and dressed and we are going somewhere." Spent two hours at Target.
Friday - School cancelled again because NM is low on Propane and Govenor has asked all to conserve.

I'm really looking forward to Monday.

What I did Today

Woke up at 6:30 when the school called to say snow day - no school. Went back to bed. Woke up at 6:35 to take care of sick baby. Soon after all 4 kids awake.
Put snow pants, boots, hats, gloves, and coats on children.
Took snow pants, boots, hats, gloves and coats off children.
Made hot chocolate.

More on this exciting story later.
I remember snow days being a lot more fun when I was a kid.
