Happy Birthday to Me

Shaun took to me Lowes for the birthday and said I could pick something out. Ever since we moved into this house Lowes has become my new favorite store so I was really excited. I choose a new kitchen faucet. It is much taller so now I can get my big pots under it and it has a sprayer. These are the before and after pictures. I'm sure the after picture will be how my kitchen looks from now on.

It's Good To Be 12!

When Sarah was 10 she told me, "I can't wait till I turn 12 because the whole world opens up when you turn 12." Here is a list of all the awesome things about being the big 12.

1) You get to sit in the front seat of the car and change all moms radio stations.

2) You get to wear makeup.

3) You get to go to Young Womens.

4) You get to babysit. (my personal favorite)

5) You get to go to the temple.

For her birthday we made Sarah breakfast in bed. Then for dinner she selected chili and chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert, then she got to pick the family movie to watch.

March Themed Dinner

The month of March was Sarah's month to choose. She went with a Birthday theme since her and my birthday are both in March. And she went all out with the decorations, balloons and each kid even got a little present on their plate. For dinner she wanted pizza (but not the kind you make yourself mom, the good kind from the store) and for dessert was rootbeer floats. Easy to make, easy to clean up!

Valentine Dinner

It was my month to be in charge of the special theme dinner this month, and in case you couldn't already figure it out I choose "love" as the theme. We used our fancy dishes, candels, flowers, and hearts everywhere. For the food I choose tri-tip steak, mashed potatoes, corn, and brownies for dessert. And everyone got there own soda bottle - for my kids that is pretty huge because I don't usually have soda in the house. In the pink bowl on the table there was slips of paper that had reason why I love everyone in the family and we took turns reading the papers.
